[title of show]

Ok, ok, my SPF was too low, and I have absorbed the guilt-rays. Here%26#39;s my stimulating contribution:

On July 12, we saw ';[title of show]'; - yes, that%26#39;s the name of the show - and we enjoyed it.

Sure, it%26#39;s one big schtick and kinda smart-a$$, some say a one-trick pony, one-hit wonder, one long inside-joke, etc, etc, but it had a lot of good laughs and chuckles.

[title of show] is about 2 theater guys and their 2 female friends who write a show about how tough it is to write a play and submit it to theater festivals in NYC. As in real life, the show wins the festival and goes to Broadway, which is consequently the story you see.

It%26#39;s very self-referential and derivative, but has a lot of cute riffs and satiric takes on show tunes, B%26#39;way cliches, etc.

If you can get TKTS/TDF or other discount for it, go for it. Note: no intermission.

p.s. for some reason, a few people walked out during the ';bad white rapper'; sketch, but we couldn%26#39;t tell if it was because it was too stupid or because they thought it was offensive. Personally, I thought it was pretty obvious the actors were intentionally overacting.

Probably some pseudo intellectual, faux moralistic, tree huggers; although there is nothing wrong with that....

Thanks for the review of the show - sounds like a fun production......

omg, Poppa! I%26#39;m still laughing!

QB: You should have posted this on Crans%26#39;s thread! (It sounds like a fun production)

Good to know. Jeff Bowen graduated from the same small college as me. Looking forward to seeing it.

Saw it tonight, I really enjoyed and I recommend it.

It is discounted and was available at the TKTS booth.
