Lodging Near Wyndham Wingate for Tri

My husband is competing in the Lake George Triathlon in September. Alot of the race is centered around the Wyndham Wingate. Just wondering if there is anywhere in very close walking distance of that hotel that is a little smaller/more rustic/more like a cabin on the lake sort of feel.
