We are arriving in NYC saturday evg and will be up early and hungry no doubt any recommendations for an early 6- 7am breakfast at a diner midtown or near the empire state as that is where we hope to go nice and early too !

sunday morning breakfast midtown nycI agree that midtown doesn%26#39;t tell us much. There are plenty of places that stay open 24/7 so you can certainly find something. Maison is a French brasserie on 7th ave. %26amp; ~ west 53 st. that%26#39;s open 24/7. Or go to
menupages.com
and look in the area you%26#39;re staying and use the features tab for open 24 hrs./day. The Empire state building is on 34 st. %26amp; 5th ave. so east or west 30%26#39;s is close.
Try the Cafe Edison on 47th at the Edison Hotel it%26#39;s just west of the TKTS booth.
West is to your left if you are facing uptown.

Sorry not so clear - we are staying at the Paramount which is near Times Square and there will be 4 adults and 6 kids ( age 10 plus)who will still be on Uk time so that is why we need somewhere to eat nice and early - we have also seen that the Empire state opens at 8am so thought we could get there early to beat the queues and then do the boat trip to Ellis Island - any comments/suggestions appreciated !

Junior%26#39;s on 45th near Broadway has a great breakfast and an outdoor patio, where you can sip your coffee and watch the craziness of it all zoom by. They open at 6:30am.
If you%26#39;re looking for something a little simpler, good and very inexpensive, Evergreen Diner on 47th (between 6th and 7th)is really good.
