Hi all - thanks to everyone who was kind enough to offer suggestions for a nice dining establishment for a special trip to the City this fall. We%26#39;re a young couple (early 30%26#39;s) who like Italian, Seafood and Steak. I received a ton of suggestions from a bunch of kind folks here as well as some people at the Waldorf, their spa and a few friends. Here are my final choices - help me choose, please!
-- Aquagrill
-- Vivolo
-- Malatesta
-- Alto
Thanks so very, very much for your insight!!!

You%26#39;re trying to choose between these 4? Or are you asking something else?
NYC Dining - Fall 2008
I think the neighborhood contributes to the feel of the occasion. Every neighborhood is different. The Upper East Side may seem a little stuffy to the younger crowd (myself included). The Village and SoHo may seem a bit too hip for people who are more ';traditional.';
Aquagrill is a great location in SoHo, right on Spring Street. Great restaurant, I haven%26#39;t eaten there myself but I%26#39;ve been told by my friends who know restaurants well, it%26#39;s a must. I%26#39;m a big seafood eater.
Malatesta is in the heart of the West Village, beautiful setting (it may still be cash only). Nice place. I think Malatesta may be a bit more casual than Aquagrill but it is difficult to make a comparison when I%26#39;ve been to one and not the other.
The other two I don%26#39;t know as well however I%26#39;d encourage you to take a look at newyork.citysearch.com, yelp.com and menupages.com
Thanks, I%26#39;m trying to choose between these 4 unless someone has a must-try instead.
