Hello. I%26#39;m taking Amtrak to Penn Station on Friday and will be going from there directly to Yankee Stadium.
Would appreciate advice on which line(s) to take to the stadium.
And I haven%26#39;t ridden the NYC subway since the introduction of the farecards. Can anyone tell me if purchasing and use of the farecards is like those used in Washington, DC? Do the fares now differ based on destination and time of travel?
Thanks for the help.
Subway to Yankee Stadium Help Wanted
From Penn Station simply take the uptown A or C train to 59th Street / Columbus Circle for the D train to Yankee Stadium. Very easy.
Alternatively, you could walk along 34th Street from Penn Station to 6th Avenue where you can get the D train. (You could walk through Macy%26#39;s)
The new MetroCards are very easy to use. The fare is always $2.00, it doesn%26#39;t matter when or where you are going. If you need a simple roundtrip, simply buy a $4.00 MetroCard and you%26#39;re golden.
It couldn%26#39;t be easier.
