A friend and I are going to NYC for 2 days. On the agenda is a Yankee game and the rest of the time will be spent in the city. What are some suggestions you all may have in regards to a hotel? Where is a good affordable place to stay outside of the city? I don%26#39;t mind driving or taking public transportation to the city if it%26#39;ll save me a boatload on the hotel coast. Looking to spend under $100.00.
Affordable NYC Trip - Hotel? Please help!
The only way I know of to spend under $100 within easy reach of Manhattan is to stay at a hostel

or perhaps try bidding on Priceline for a 2.5* or 3* hotel in Jersey City. I%26#39;ve seen people win the Courtyard (2.5*), the Hyatt or the Doubletree Club for $60-100/night plus tax. I%26#39;d book something cancelable in case Priceline doesn%26#39;t work out. If you don%26#39;t know about Priceline, look on betterbidding.com
Check their wins calendar for New Jersey for your dates and see if anyone has already won anything in Jersey City for those dates.
