This is our last day and we are all so bummed to be leaving. We quickly grabbed breakfast and headed out to wander around one last time. We somehow ended up at Macy%26#39;s, and although I was just too overwhelmed to even look around, the boys loved riding the escalators - all the up! It%26#39;s the little things in life!
After wandering through the streets for a bit, we had our last subway ride back to the hotel. The kids became pros at riding. They had fun sliding their card through and going through the stiles. And they would not be happy if there was someone in front of them struggling to get through. I think I could send them from Point A to Point B and they could do it all by themselves. Amazing!
We checked out of the hotel and stored our bags so we could grab some lunch. We ended up at the Chirping Chicken, which my kids loved. We finished and wandered to Central Park for one last visit. Headed back to the hotel for our ride to Newark. The kids enjoyed visiting with our driver. He had great stories to tell.
Because of congestion in Atlanta, we were stuck on the runway for a while, but the kids didn%26#39;t seem to mind. They put in a movie and settled in. After an hour or so, we were on our way.
Back home and back to reality. School starts on the 18th so plenty to do to get ready. I know it%26#39;s been a good vacation when the kids ask when we can come back. They embraced your wonderful city and are ready to visit again.
We saw so much, but still so much to see. The kids favorite, hands down, was Central Park. As you know, we visited every day. Also, enjoyed riding the subway, TOTR, Yankee Stadium. Really, they loved everything!!
Though I didn%26#39;t post many questions, I read this forum daily, so thank you for all the advice. My boys asked if I was going to get on Trip Advisor when we got home so I could start planning our next trip to New York! Funny! Thanks for everything and we can%26#39;t wait to come back!
