Do last minute ticket consolidators still exist? Does last minute travel still pay if you are not in a rush to get anywhere and flexible on where you want to go? If so, what are the major websties for this?

or simply google last minute deals
I got a good deal for roundtrip for 2 people for $98 including taxes. Thats with spirit.com
but you have to watch for annoucements with spirit for their cheap deals
