Three of us are planning to spend a week in New York in March, 2009. Never having been, we are looking for accomodation close to the subway and attractions as well. We are looking at an apartment in Harlem, actually on Strivers Row for the week.
Anyone have thoughts on the appropriateness of this location?

Renting apartments in New York is a very bad idea, please read the numerous posts here as to why. Get a hotel room

Forget the location; it is the very action that is inappropriate.
Do some research on this forum about why this is such a spectacularly lousy idea, and then go make a reservation at a proper, legal hotel.
