Fireworks in April

Does anyone know if the fireworks at night over the Falls happen every night in early April or just at the week-ends?

We are hoping to go to Niagara from New York, but as time is limited we will only stay overnight if the firework display is on, otherwise we will do it as a day trip.

The Fireworks are put on by the Niagara Parks Commission on the Canadian side and run from late May to early September on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays and on certain Canadian and U.S. holidays.

I read somewhere, though, that they continue the fireworks after Labor Day...but only on a Friday night? Is this right?

Yes mel, on Friday nights until early October.

Will the firework display still be on Friday Sept 5th of this year? If so how much does it cost and how long does the display last?

Since Labor Day is Sept 1 I am not sure if they will still be going on Sept 5. There would be no cost as it is outside and visible from either the US or Canadian side.
